I damn near drove off the road when I saw these. At first I thought these sheep -- just south of Aberfeldy, Scotland -- must be wearing some kind of fabric coat to keep their fleece clean or something. On closer look, I saw that their actual fleece was "golden" in color -- or at least some kind of goldy-orangy color. I immediately thought of old Frank Purdue who -- I have heard -- fed his chickens marigold buds or something to give them that "healthy yellow color." I have no idea what these "golden fleeces" are all about, but I don't have PhotoShop so you can trust this is an authentic, un-messed-with image. Anybody got any ideas?

Pink elephants...golden sheep......I checked with my boss. He said try changing brands of beer.
Good idea, Jeff, thanks! I'm in Scotland, though, so I'm pretty focused on my beloved Scotch whiskey... Thankfully there are plenty of different "brands" to choose from! Cheers!
Did you get up close and personal with the sheep?
No, Pumito, I didn't... I didn't have you around for advice!
Well, I'll be drammed.
As a veterniarian, I can say that this is clearly a case of over ingestion of saffron-which we all know grows on saffron trees that are native to the region of Scottland. If the farmer continues to feed this ration then the sheep will slowly morph to become winged giraffes which has not been seen since the late 1800's. Trust your neighborhood veterinarian, they are the experts in these matters.
Finally! Someone who really knows what she's talking about! Thanks, Dr. Sara!
