On my way north from Newcastle back to Edinburgh, I happened to stop in a little town that was in the middle of an all-day Pipe Band Competition. You may have already had enough of bagpipes, but here's a little video that will show you what a pipe band competition is all about. The Scots take their pipe bands very seriously, as you can tell by the expressions on the judges' faces and by the fact that people are out in a pretty heavy rain to take it all in.
